Pitkin Lake Trail
Steep switchbacks and alpine scenery ending at one of Vail's iconic lakes.
Pitkin Lake is a longer and more strenuous adventure, but the effort pays off with dramatic views as the trail opens into high alpine terrain near the lake basin.
Recommended: Bring layers and enough water. The trail is exposed in sections.
